Michigan Primary Results 2012 - All eyes are on Michigan as the results roll in for the state's primary election. Mitt Romney was projected the winner in the Arizona primary on Tuesday. Mitt Romney took a big step toward setting himself back on a path to the Republican presidential nomination, thumping Rick Santorum in the Arizona primary and fending off the potential nightmare scenario of a loss in his native state of Michigan.

The final round of polls in Michigan has yielded one of the closest forecasts yet for the 2012 Republican primaries. Collectively, they give Mitt Romney a laser-thin margin over Rick Santorum, one that falls well within the real-world margin of error for a primary election. Either candidate could come out on top of Michigan's popular vote tonight.

Romney was the projected winner in Arizona as soon as the polls closed at 9 p.m. ET. Shortly after 10 p.m., The Associated Press and television networks called the tighter race in Michigan. With 67 percent of precincts reporting, Romney had 42 percent to Santorum’s 37 percent. Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich trailed with 12 percent and 7 percent, respectively.

2012 Westminster Dog Show

2012 Westminster Dog Show - After the first night featured the Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding groups, night two of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show kicked off with the Sporting dogs.

From the Sporting group, the German Wirehaired, Labrador Retriever, English Setter, Irish Setter, English Springer Spaniel, Irish Water Spaniel, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon were brought down after the first cut and then the Best of Group order went 1) Emily the Irish Setter, 2) German Wirehaired Pointer, 3) English Springer Spaniel and 4) Irish Water Spaniel.

Preamble: Malachy the Pekingese is just like Mitt Romney—only better groomed. He's the presumptive favorite to win the 136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show tonight, but this is why we hold competitions. Because you just never know.

The Working group was next, which saw brought down the Alaskan Malamut, Bernese Mountain Dog, Boxer, Doberman, Rottweiler, Samoyed, Standard Schnauzer and Tibetan Mastiff. The order for Best in Group went 1) Fifi the Doberman, 2) Boxer, 3) Alaskan Malamut and 4) Standard Schnauzer.

Finally, the Terrier group capped off the group competition. Brought down after the first cut were the American Staffordshire, Australian, Border, Smooth Fox, Kerry Blue, Scottish, Skye and Welsh. The Best of Group went 1) Chelsey the Kerry BLue, 2) Smooth Fox, 3) Skye and 4) American Staffordshire.

So moving into Best in Show, the dogs competing were the Cinders the Wirehaired Dachshund, Malachy the Pekingese, Ian the Dalmatian, Capi the German Shepherd, Emily the Irish Setter, Fifi the Doberman and Chelsey the Kerry Blue.

And ... Malachy the Pekingese is Best in Show! Malachy competed in the Best of Show group in last year, but lost to Hickory the Scottish Deerhound. We were excited to see Malachy win this year - we love to watch Pekingeses run! This is the first Pekingese win since 1990.

Whitney Houston  Cause of Death -  Autopsy Complete - Whitney Houston’s autopsy is done – but authorities will reportedly defer results pending completion of a toxicology report. There will be no official cause of death announcement until toxicology returns in 4 to 6 weeks, according to TMZ. Houston died in her fourth-floor room at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday.

While the circumstances of her death have still not been confirmed, a picture is beginning to emerge based on multiple reports across several outlets.

It’s believed that Houston was discovered, unconscious in the bathtub, by a member of her entourage.

Law enforcement officials reportedly found prescription pills in Houston’s room, including Xanax, but no illegal drugs.

The prevailing unconfirmed theory is that Houston accidentally lost consciousness and drowned.

Again: This is NOT the official cause of death, nor has it been substantiated by on-the-record police sources.

Paramedics raced to the scene and attempted to revive the singer, but their efforts were not successful.

She was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. Pacific time.

Family and close associates identified Houston, and, while Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys party went ahead downstairs, her body was taken to the L.A. County morgue for Sunday’s autopsy.

Whitney Houston's  Death - With the death of Whitney Houston just hours earlier, it's hard to focus on the matter of crowning the best in recorded music -- but Sunday night's Grammy Awards are going to try.

Music's biggest night was rocked on the eve of the event with news that the 48-year-old pop legend was found dead in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was preparing to attend a pre-Grammy party.

The autopsy of Whitney Houston is complete, TMZ has learned, but the results will be deferred pending a toxicology report.

According to our sources, a cause of death cannot be determined until the toxicology results ... which typically takes 4-6 weeks.

A coroner's spokesman says the results are on a security hold, which just means nothing is being released at this time.

Whale Shark Found Dead In Arabian Sea - A 40-foot whale shark was brought into harbor in Karachi, Pakistan on Tuesday, Feb. 7. after reportedly being found unconscious in the Arabian Sea about 10 days ago,"Whale sharks are really amazing animals. They are very gentle. But people should remember that they are wildlife animals and feeding them could pose more harm than good," 

Fishermen used several cranes to lift the whale shark to dry land, where a crowd of onlookers gathered to see the massive creature.

The whale shark carcass was later sold for 1.7 million rupees (nearly $19,000), ABC News reports.

After a 2005 assessment, the International Union for Conversation of Nature and Natural Resources declared the global whale shark population was vulnerable, MSNBC observes.

For many years, whale sharks have been highly sought after by harpoon fisheries in Southeast Asia, where people primarily used the fish for meat and oil. However, it is now illegal to hunt whale sharks in several countries, including India and the Philippines.

NFL player's unfortunate license plate - Knowshon Moreno was all but forgotten in Denver this year. He was first ineffective, then benched in favor of Willis McGahee, then, like everything else, eclipsed by the miracle of Tebow. His season ended in Week 10 with a knee injury.

He knows how to get noticed on the highway, though. His strategy there is to drive 70 mph through a construction zone in a Bentley convertible with a license plate that reads "SAUCED." Works every time.

Moreno, 24, was pulled over Feb. 1 while driving a Bentley at about 70 mph on Interstate 25 near Quincy Avenue and Union Avenue, according to a report by Denver television station KDVR-31. The posted speed limit in the area usually is 65 mph but is currently posted at 45 mph because it's a construction zone. 

Police gave Moreno a breath test and a field sobriety test and took the former Georgia star to a detox facility. He was charged with DUI, failing to have insurance and careless driving. He is scheduled to be arraigned March 2, court records state. 

The personalized license plate on the car Moreno was driving read "SAUCED," according to KDVR-31.

No danger of being forgotten here. Driving drunk with a "SAUCED" license plate puts Knowshon Moreno in the sports criminal Hall of Fame.

As far as I know, to be "sauced" means to be drunk. If the young, hippity-hopping whippersnappers of America have another definition for it, I don't know what it is. I hope it's not something filthy. Perhaps it even means that Knowshon Moreno, every time he leaves the house, likes to slather himself in a nice Bolognese sauce.

Until I'm told otherwise, though, I'm clinging to "drunk" as the proper definition, which would make it the second-least police-friendly license plate in history, behind only "PULMEOVR."

The Broncos released a statement saying that they're aware of the incident and will continue to gather information. Just as soon as they've stopped laughing at his license plate.

Moreno was drafted 12th overall in 2009.

Obama’s grandmother recovering after car accident

Obama’s grandmother recovering after car accident - Obama’s 91-year-old grandmother, Sarah Obama, is reportedly recovering at her residence after suffering from bruises and shock resulting from a car accident in Western Kenya.

Sarah Obama was reportedly moving to her neighborhood Kogelo on Saturday night when her car rolled over. Police officials are yet to establish the cause of the accident; however they told reporters that the driver lost control over the car and it landed into a channel.

Five people were travelling in the car at the time of the accident, including Obama’s grandmother, and none of them suffered any serious injuries. However, the car was completely smashed. An ambulance was driven straight away to the accident site and all 5 passengers, including 2 bodyguards, were carried to the Agha Khan hospital in Kisumu.

"God is with me, because if you could have seen the wreckage that we came out of safe, one would wonder," Sarah Obama said Monday.

According to a hospital representative of the Aga Khan hospital, Sarah Obama was injured and distressed when she reached the hospital. She was discharged from the hospital 2 hours afterwards. Doctors told reporters that it was safe for Sarah to go home and take rest.

"You can see I was not injured save for this small scar on my right hand and I am not even using a walking stick," Obama said.

Besides, President Obama’s grandmother said even distant friends and relative have been calling to check on her condition.

According to ABC News, “Sarah Obama is the step-mother of President Obama's Kenyan father. She has been to the U.S. a few times, and the president has been to the village to visit with her and other relatives three times. In his memoir, "Dream From My Father," Obama called her ‘Granny.’”

In 2008 Sarah said in an interview that she and Barack Obama are quite close, even though they have to converse via an interpreter.

It is pertinent to mention here that Kenyans pay very high regard to President Obama, the son of a Kenyan. People in Kenya have even been naming their children ‘Obama’ after Barack Obama became the U.S president. Restaurants, stores and even buses have been branded as ‘Obama.’

Randy Travis Arrested in Texas

Randy Travis Arrested in Texas - Country singer Randy Travis was arrested in Sanger, Texas this morning for public intoxication ... after cops say he was boozing in front of a Baptist church. 

According to the Sanger Police Department, someone called the cops to report a suspicious vehicle near the church ... and when officers arrived to the scene, they discovered the 52-year-old singer with an open bottle of wine.  

The "Forever and Ever, Amen" singer was hauled to a nearby jail around 1:30 AM -- he was booked, cited and released a short time later.

Country singer Randy Travis has apologized after being arrested on a charge of public intoxication outside a North Texas church.

Denton County sheriff’s spokesman Tom Reedy says police in the town of Sanger arrested Travis early Monday after spotting a vehicle parked in front of a church and finding an open bottle of wine and Travis smelling of alcohol.

2012 Best Superbowl Commercials - Like most of you, the Superbowl dominated my TV last night. And while there were a few moments during the half time show where we switched to the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet for Norman, when we weren’t watching the Giants battle the Patriots we had our eyes fixed on those commercials. I must admit, almost every year I am more interested in the commercials than I am in the game, even though it was super sweet watching the Giants stick it to the Patriots at the end (a Patriots fan, I am not)!

I don’t know about your favorites from this year’s Superbowl ads, but below are my Top 5. This will make 2 years in a row where Volkswagen has topped my list of best ads – last year it was that Darth Vader and this year, dog lover that I am, they stopped on top with “The Dog Strikes Back”, followed by 4 other commercials that either made me laugh or left me speechless.
