In "The Descendants," Clooney plays a Hawaii man named Matt King, who faces the challenge of raising his two young daughters after his wife is injured in a boating accident and slips into a coma. King has also just inherited a large chunk of land, while a shady relative, played by Beau Bridges, has his own ideas of what he should do with it.

Sure, now that it's considered a day of federal observance you'll find government schools around the country including it in their lesson plans. But these discussions generally focus on Constitution Trivia instead of what's really important. While it may be good to educate our young on how many years a Senator serves, or how Supreme Court justices are appointed, it's not enough. Seriously lacking in the public discourse is the actual purpose of the Constitution its underlying principles.

Heather Locklear Hospitalized For Prescription Drugs and Alcohol -  Authorities say Heather Locklear was taken to a Southern California hospital for precautionary reasons after an emergency call was made from her home. A hospital spokesperson tells TMZ, Heather was awake and responsive when she arrived today -- and she is currently responding well to treatment. According to the spokesperson, Heather is doing much better now and doctors are hopeful she will be released tomorrow. We're also told Heather's parents are currently with the actress inside the hospital.

Heather Locklear was taken to the hospital by ambulance Thursday afternoon after taking a dangerous mix of prescription drugs and alcohol ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

A spokeswoman for Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, Calif. confirms to KNBC TV’s Bev White that Heather Locklear was admitted and will stay overnight. She was conscious, stable and resting comfortably, said Kris Carraway-Bowman, VP of marketing and public relations for the hospital.

Tebow's heroic play illegal - A review of the Denver Broncos' pre-snap formation on the game-winning touchdown pass from Tim Tebow to Demaryius Thomas suggests that the play could have been ruled illegal.

Only six Denver Broncos players were lined up on the line of scrimmage before the snap. NFL rules say that a team must have seven or more players on the line for a snap to be legal. As the picture above shows, tight end Dante Rosario was well behind his teammates. Tebow's heroic play may have been illegal. A review of Tim Tebow's game-winning throw vs. the Steelers shows something not quite right. 

The formation eventually caught the eye of current Fox analyst and former NFL Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira. He dismissed any suggestion that the play should have been whistled dead. "Watch on any Sunday," he tweeted. "This is a good formation compared to many. They are not technical with this."

In 2004 Davis was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame and is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame.

Doomsday Clock - According to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, the world is officially veering a bit closer to apocalypse. In an announcement today, the scientists said they were moving the hand on the Doomsday Clock to the perilous position of five minutes before midnight. In 2010, scientists moved the clock backwards to six minutes before, signifying that the world had grown relatively safer, and risks of nuclear chaos were somewhat lower than they had been.

The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock face, maintained since 1947 by the board of directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago. The closer the clock is to midnight, the closer the world is estimated to be to global disaster. The most recent officially-announced setting — five minutes to midnight (11:55pm) — was made on 10 January 2012. Reflecting international events dangerous to humankind, the clock's hands have been adjusted twenty times since its inception in 1947, when the clock was initially set to seven minutes to midnight (11:53pm).

Originally, the clock analogy represented the threat of global nuclear war; however, since 2007 it has also reflected climate-changing technologies and "new developments in the life sciences that could inflict irrevocable harm."
