WWE Money in the Bank 2012

The WWE Money in the Bank 2012 results are now official, with several big matches going down in Phoenix, Arizona. While two major championships were on the line, there were also two contract matches as well. So who were the latest MITB ladder match winners for 2012?

With the WWE MITB results, fans were treated to a variety of matches including an early championship victory by R-Truth and Kofi Kingston. There was also an impromptu match involving Epico and Primo defeating Titus O'Neil and Darren Young aka "The Primetime Players." However, the reason most fans love this particular event is those electrifying, action-packed Money in the Bank ladder matches which involve a briefcase hanging over the ring. Inside that case is either a WWE Championship match contract or a World Heavyweight Championship match contract.

In what can be described as the best PPV  event since WrestleMania 28, "Money in the Bank" was everything it needed to be.

And we can thank CM Punk and Daniel Bryan for what was possibly the match of the year.

And we can also thank A.J. Lee for helping to make that happen.

While we all expected something to go wrong with the WWE Title Match, everything fell into place and left the door open to ask, "What happens now?"

And oh yeah, some guy named Cena won Money in the Bank along with Dolph Ziggler.

Here are some things we learned from tonight's PPV.

Happy Father's Day by Tim Tebow

Happy Father's Day - Tim Tebow urges sacrifice at Father's Day event. Just seven months after handing the hometown San Diego Chargers one of their most crushing defeats of the season, New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow, then with the Denver Broncos, returned to Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday.

Only this time, he replaced the football with a microphone and turned the boos into cheers.

"It feels really good to get an applause in this stadium," Tebow said. "It's never happened before."

Tebow led the Broncos to a 16-13 overtime win against the Chargers last November in San Diego, sending the Bolts to their sixth-consecutive loss.

Tim Tebow ventured into what was once and still is enemy territory to speak at a Father's Day service for Shadow Mountain Community Church, led by pastor David Jeremiah. Shadow Mountain rented out the stadium and invited several area churches to attend.

2012 NFL Draft: UFC champ

2012 NFL Draft: UFC champ - Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. His run through the 205-pound division has produced one of the greatest calendar years in the history of the sport and it's already safe to wonder if the 24-year-old phenom is one of the best to ever put on a pair of gloves.

As impressive as that might sound, he's got an entire family of athletes, including his older brother, Arthur Jones, who plays defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens. You may or may not have heard much from him because he's not exactly blowing anyone's doors off in the National Football League (NFL).

Don't get me wrong, he's a fine player, but you're not going to see him in the Pro Bowl any time soon (if it's still around, anyway).

That may not be the case for Chandler Jones, however, yet another one of Jon's siblings who is poised to break into the NFL and make a big splash sooner rather than later. Or at least that's what NFL expert Mike Mayock predicts.

In his one and only mock draft for tonight's (April 26, 2012) live first round -- which MMAmania.com will have live ongoing coverage of right here -- Mayock has Jones projected to go number 19 overall. And if you fine Maniacs know anything about The General, that means Jones would be going to my beloved Chicago Bears.

But, it's not just that Jones would be going that early in the draft that makes Mayock's pick so interesting. It's the remarks he made to go along with it.

Ivan Rodriguez intends to officially retire in Texas

Ivan Rodriguez intends to officially retire in Texas - It was recently announced that veteran catcher and current unsigned free agent Ivan Rodriguez intends to officially retire in Texas on Monday. Ivan Rodriguez plans to announce his retirement Monday, ending a 21-year major league career that included a record 13 Gold Gloves at catcher.

A 14-time All-Star known as Pudge, Rodriguez spent his first 12 major league seasons with the Rangers and won the 1999 American League MVP with Texas, when he hit .332 with 35 homers and 113 RBIs. He returned to the Rangers briefly in 2009.

When a great player like Rodriguez retires, it’s nice to look back over his career, what his highs and lows were, his career milestones, and the best (and oddest) games he ever participated in where. That’s what’s listed below, the career highlights of Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez.

Michigan Primary Results 2012

Michigan Primary Results 2012 - All eyes are on Michigan as the results roll in for the state's primary election. Mitt Romney was projected the winner in the Arizona primary on Tuesday. Mitt Romney took a big step toward setting himself back on a path to the Republican presidential nomination, thumping Rick Santorum in the Arizona primary and fending off the potential nightmare scenario of a loss in his native state of Michigan.

The final round of polls in Michigan has yielded one of the closest forecasts yet for the 2012 Republican primaries. Collectively, they give Mitt Romney a laser-thin margin over Rick Santorum, one that falls well within the real-world margin of error for a primary election. Either candidate could come out on top of Michigan's popular vote tonight.

Romney was the projected winner in Arizona as soon as the polls closed at 9 p.m. ET. Shortly after 10 p.m., The Associated Press and television networks called the tighter race in Michigan. With 67 percent of precincts reporting, Romney had 42 percent to Santorum’s 37 percent. Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich trailed with 12 percent and 7 percent, respectively.

2012 Westminster Dog Show

2012 Westminster Dog Show - After the first night featured the Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding groups, night two of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show kicked off with the Sporting dogs.

From the Sporting group, the German Wirehaired, Labrador Retriever, English Setter, Irish Setter, English Springer Spaniel, Irish Water Spaniel, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon were brought down after the first cut and then the Best of Group order went 1) Emily the Irish Setter, 2) German Wirehaired Pointer, 3) English Springer Spaniel and 4) Irish Water Spaniel.

Preamble: Malachy the Pekingese is just like Mitt Romney—only better groomed. He's the presumptive favorite to win the 136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show tonight, but this is why we hold competitions. Because you just never know.

The Working group was next, which saw brought down the Alaskan Malamut, Bernese Mountain Dog, Boxer, Doberman, Rottweiler, Samoyed, Standard Schnauzer and Tibetan Mastiff. The order for Best in Group went 1) Fifi the Doberman, 2) Boxer, 3) Alaskan Malamut and 4) Standard Schnauzer.

Finally, the Terrier group capped off the group competition. Brought down after the first cut were the American Staffordshire, Australian, Border, Smooth Fox, Kerry Blue, Scottish, Skye and Welsh. The Best of Group went 1) Chelsey the Kerry BLue, 2) Smooth Fox, 3) Skye and 4) American Staffordshire.

So moving into Best in Show, the dogs competing were the Cinders the Wirehaired Dachshund, Malachy the Pekingese, Ian the Dalmatian, Capi the German Shepherd, Emily the Irish Setter, Fifi the Doberman and Chelsey the Kerry Blue.

And ... Malachy the Pekingese is Best in Show! Malachy competed in the Best of Show group in last year, but lost to Hickory the Scottish Deerhound. We were excited to see Malachy win this year - we love to watch Pekingeses run! This is the first Pekingese win since 1990.
